Emily was born on July 27th, 1867.  Emily's father was Henry(Harry) Alexander Findlay and her mother was Jane Watson.  Her paternal grandparents were Alexander Findlay and Sarah Knackston. She had three brothers and three sisters, named Percy, Leonard, Alma, Gertrude, Mildred and Lavinia.  She was the second oldest of the seven children.  She died at the age of 67 on April 25th, 1935.

Emily and Walter were married on August 3rd, 1887.  They had a son named Warburton.
