Frank was born in 1876 in Southleigh, Oxfordshire.  Frank's father was George BURDEN and his mother was Hannah WHITE.  His maternal grandparents were Joseph WHITE and Alice GARDNER. He had four brothers and six sisters, named George, Henry, Walter, Arthur, Elizabeth, Emily, Hannah Maria, Agnes, Phillis and Rose Ellen.  He was the second youngest of the eleven children.
