Lydia Josephine Gammon

Lydia Josephine was born on January 19th, 1855 in Leon, Decatur, Iowa, United States.¹ Lydia Josephine's father was James Wilkenson Gammon and her mother was Armilda Eliza Myers. Her paternal grandparents were Dozier Brawner Gammon and Lavina Letitia Turbeville; her maternal grandparents are Thomas Myers and Jane. She had eight brothers and two sisters, named Lewis Larue, Newton Franklin, Eugene Theophilus, Bird Lafayette, Willis Wilkerson, Dozier Gaines, Charles Thomas, Lucius, Martha Jane and Catharine Melvina. She was the second oldest of the eleven children. She died at the age of 36 on April 26th, 1891 in Row 19. She was buried in 1892 in Leon, Decatur, Iowa, United States.¹
