Robert, known as Robert, was born on November 8th, 1868.1   Robert's father was Hugh BOYD and his mother was Elizabeth ALLISON.  His paternal grandparents are Robert BOYD and <Unknown>. He had seven brothers and a sister, named William, James, Joseph, John, Garfield, Samuel, Edgar and Kate.  He was the second oldest of the nine children.
