Kate, known as Kate, was born on September 25th, 1879.1   Kate's father was Hugh BOYD and her mother was Elizabeth ALLISON.  Her paternal grandparents are Robert BOYD and <Unknown>. She had eight brothers named William, Robert, James, Joseph, John, Garfield, Samuel and Edgar.  She was the fourth youngest of the nine children.
