Thomas Thornton

Thomas was born in 1824 in Morton, Bingley, Yorkshire, England.¹ Thomas' father was Thomas Thornton and his mother was Harriet Asquith. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Samuel, William, John, Sarah, Elizabeth, Nancy, Hannah and Ann. He was the fifth oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 75 in June 1899 in Keighley, Yorkshire, England.

- 1871 Living there is Samuel, Jonathan, Peter. Also living with them is Sarah Goffrice age 57 and is listed as housekeeper. Also Joseph and Benjamin Straw who are nephews of Thomas.
  There is no mention of Mary.
