Alfred Thornton

Alfred was born in 1869 in Barnoldswick, Yorkshire, England.¹ Alfred's father was James Thornton and his mother was Ellen Hartley. His paternal grandparents were Joseph Thornton and Agnes (Thornton). He had three brothers and three sisters, named James, Dick, Charles, Mary, Emma and Laviena. He was the sixth oldest of the seven children.
