Richard Petty

Richard was born in 1740 in Storiths, Hazlewood, Skipton, Yorkshire, England. Richard's father was Joseph Petty and his mother was Ann Thompson. His paternal grandparents were Richard Petyt and Alice Lowcock. He had three brothers and six sisters, named Joseph, Thomas, William, Margaret, Mary, Abigail, Elleanor, Hannah and Ann. He was the eighth oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 76 on July 11th, 1816 in Storiths, Hazlewood, Skipton, Yorkshire, England.
