Emily Petty

Emily was born in 1857 in Rawcliffe, Yorkshire, England.¹ Emily's father was William Petty and her mother was Mary Ann Gibson. Her paternal grandparents were John Petty and Elizabeth Hirst. She had five brothers and a sister, named George William, John H, Walter, Arthur, James Frederick and Mary A. She was the second oldest of the seven children.
