Arthur Petty

Arthur was born in 1866 in Rawcliffe, Yorkshire, England.¹ Arthur's father was William Petty and his mother was Mary Ann Gibson. His paternal grandparents were John Petty and Elizabeth Hirst. He had four brothers and two sisters, named George William, John H, Walter, James Frederick, Emily and Mary A. He was the fifth oldest of the seven children.
