Lillie Newiss

Lillie was born in 1889 in Leeds, Yorkshire, England.¹ Lillie's father was James Newis and her mother was Ann Gill. Her paternal grandparents were Joseph Newiss and Ann Hartley. She had three brothers and three sisters, named Joseph, Frederick, James, Arthur Gill, Clara and Annie. She was the sixth oldest of the seven children.
