Joseph Newiss

Joseph was born on March 1st, 1876 in Keighley, Yorkshire, England.¹ Joseph's father was James Newis and his mother was Ann Gill. His paternal grandparents were Joseph Newiss and Ann Hartley. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Frederick, James, Arthur Gill, Clara, Annie and Lillie. He was the second oldest of the seven children.
