Zenas was born on June 7th, 1760.  Zenas' father was Jonathan Webster and his mother was Dorothy Hills.  His paternal grandparents were Jonathan Webster and Mary Strong; his maternal grandparents were Phillip Hills and Hannah Cutter. He had six brothers named Jonathan, James, David, Israel, William and Benoni.  He was the sixth oldest of the seven children. He had five half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Ruel, Gershom, Laban, Molly, Aaron, Dolly and Ruth.  He died at the age of 23 in 1783.
