Jonathan Webster

Jonathan was born on February 23rd, 1749. Jonathan's father was Jonathan Webster and his mother was Dorothy Hills. His paternal grandparents were Jonathan Webster and Mary Strong; his maternal grandparents were Phillip Hills and Hannah Cutter. He had six brothers named James, David, Israel, William, Zenas and Benoni. He was the oldest of the seven children. He had five half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Ruel, Gershom, Laban, Molly, Aaron, Dolly and Ruth.

  Served in the 2d Reg't., Gen. Joseph Spencer's, Cap't. Levi Wells Co0. of Colchester, from May 11, to Dec 17, 1775, a private. Also served for 15 days (Lexington Alarm List) in Cap't. Daniel Tilden's Co., from Lebanon, Ct.
  
  No trace of Jonathan Webster after June 9, 1809, had been found at the time of the publishing of "Webster Family of Connecticut."
