Israel Webster

Israel was born on May 25th, 1756. Israel's father was Jonathan Webster and his mother was Dorothy Hills. His paternal grandparents were Jonathan Webster and Mary Strong; his maternal grandparents were Phillip Hills and Hannah Cutter. He had six brothers named Jonathan, James, David, William, Zenas and Benoni. He was the fourth oldest of the seven children. He had five half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Ruel, Gershom, Laban, Molly, Aaron, Dolly and Ruth. He died at the age of 81 on May 3rd, 1838.

General Notes
- Was a soldier in the Revolutionary War, serving his full term, and was discharged in New Jersey, April 20, 1780. He had been promoted to Sergeant during his service, and had been in the battles of Germantown and Monmouth. He was pensioned at $180 per annum, and after his death, his widow was allowed the same rate.
