Kate (Katie) S. Strohmeier

Kate, known as Katie, was born on February 7th, 1901.¹ Katie's father was Henry Strohmeier and her mother was Mary Bangert (Kraftt). Her paternal grandparents were Strohmeier and <Unknown>; her maternal grandparents were <Unknown> and Catherine Elisabeth Kraftt. Karl Friedrich Bangert was her grandfather through her mother's adoption. She had four brothers and five sisters, named Fredie, Henry, William, Herman, Emma, Anna, Louisa, Grace and Minnie. She was the second youngest of the ten children. She died at the age of 59 on March 12th, 1960. She was buried at the St. James Cemetery, North of Edwardsville, Madison County, Illinois.²¹
