Grace was born on June 11th, 1898.1   Grace's father was Henry Strohmeier and her mother was Mary Bangert (Kraftt).  Her paternal grandparents were Strohmeier and <Unknown>; her maternal grandparents were <Unknown> and Catherine Elisabeth Kraftt.  Karl Friedrich Bangert was her grandfather through her mother's adoption. She had four brothers and five sisters, named Fredie, Henry, William, Herman, Emma, Anna, Louisa, Katie and Minnie.  She was the third youngest of the ten children.  She died at the age of 78 on May 10th, 1977.  She was buried at the St. James Cemetery, North of Edwardsville, Madison County, Illinois.2 1 



Grace's family

Grace and Henry were married on February 14th, 1917.1   They had two sons and four daughters, named Chester, Robert, Luella, Marie, Wilma and Ruth.
