Howard Armstrong was born on July 27th, 1917.1   Howard Armstrong's father was Samuel Herbert Milligan and his mother was Cecilia Agnes Milligan.  His paternal grandparents were Samuel Milligan and Matilda Milligan; his maternal grandparents are Francis Armstrong and Susannah Armstrong. He had five brothers and seven sisters, named Francis Samuel, Lawrence Donald, Robert Donald, Donald Irwin, Maynard Melvin, Eva Elizabeth, Vera Marion, Dorothy Isabel, Ruth Elinor, Margaret Cecilia, Carol Agnes and Floris Ann.  He died at the age of 47 on June 11th, 1965.1
