Johann was born on December 18th, 1894 in E Prussia.1   Johann's father was Gottleib Pieniak and his mother was Auguste Benzko/Benzler/Benczyk.  His paternal grandparents were Johann Pienak and Regine Jeromin. He had two brothers and five sisters, named Karl, Gustav, Charlotte, Amalie, Luise, Maria and Auguste.  He was the fourth oldest of the eight children.  He died at the age of 2 on October 15th, 1897.
