Yosef Elkes

Yosef was born in 1901. Yosef's father was Moshe Leib Elkes and his mother was Leah Pieniek. His maternal grandparents were Meyer Moishe Pieniek and Miriam Reizel Berkerowicz. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Israel (Srulik), Asher, Shmuel, ?, Naomi, Chana (Chantze), Dvorah, Tova and Ziporah. He died at the age of 42 in 1943 in Russia.¹
