Shmuel Elkes

Shmuel's father was Moshe Leib Elkes and his mother was Leah Pieniek. His maternal grandparents were Meyer Moishe Pieniek and Miriam Reizel Berkerowicz. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Yosef, Israel (Srulik), Asher, ?, Naomi, Chana (Chantze), Dvorah, Tova and Ziporah. He died in the Holocaust at the age of 45 in Warszawa, Poland.¹
