Chana (Chantze) Elkes

Chana (Chantze) was born in 1913. Chana (Chantze)'s father was Moshe Leib Elkes and her mother was Leah Pieniek. Her maternal grandparents were Meyer Moishe Pieniek and Miriam Reizel Berkerowicz. She had five brothers and four sisters, named Yosef, Israel (Srulik), Asher, Shmuel, ?, Naomi, Dvorah, Tova and Ziporah. She died in the Holocaust at the age of 27 in 1940 in Bialystok, Poland.¹
