Asher Elkes

Asher was born in 1927. Asher's father was Moshe Leib Elkes and his mother was Leah Pieniek. His maternal grandparents were Meyer Moishe Pieniek and Miriam Reizel Berkerowicz. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Yosef, Israel (Srulik), Shmuel, ?, Naomi, Chana (Chantze), Dvorah, Tova and Ziporah. He died in the Holocaust at the age of 13 in 1940 in Warszawa, Poland.¹

- Asher Elkes was born in Pultusk, Poland in 1927 to Moshe and Lea. He was a pupil. Prior to WWII he lived in Pultusk, Poland. During the war was in Warszawa, Poland. Asher perished in Warszawa, Poland. This information is based on a Page of Testimony (displayed to the left) submitted on 05/11/1998 by his niece, Sarah Shavit, a Shoah survivor.
