Sarah was born on March 3rd, 1850 in Chatham Kent.  Sarah's father was Charles Piper (Blacksmith b Maidstone Kent) and her mother was Mary Ann Savin (b Ramsgate Kent).  Her paternal grandparents were Charles Piper (Blacksmith b Maidstone Kent) and Hannah Colvin; her maternal grandparents are Thomas Savin and <Unknown>. She had three brothers and two sisters, named Charles, William, James, Mary and Hannah.  She was the third youngest of the six children.  She died at the age of 35 on November 15th, 1885 in 16 Claremont St East Ham.  The funeral took place on November 22nd, 1885 at St Mary Magdalene East Ham.  She was buried on November 22nd, 1885 at St Mary Magdalene East Ham.1 2 3
