Arthur was born about 1897 in Barking Essex.  Arthur's father was George Spelman (K 1212 Rippleside) and his mother was Ada Allmarye Oxley (D 912 BURIED RIPPLESIDE).  His paternal grandparents were Henry (twine spinner) Spelman (D 1540 Rippleside ) and Mary  Ann Casey (D 1540 Rippleside ); his maternal grandfather was Thomas Hollingum Oxley (Cordwainer) and his maternal grandmother is <Unknown>. He had a brother and two sisters, named Arthur, Elizabeth and Ada. He had five half-brothers and two half-sisters, named George, Edmund, William, Thomas, James, Ethel and Martha.  He died about November 5th, 1907.  The funeral took place on November 11th, 1907 at the Rippleside Cemetery Barking.  He was buried on November 11th, 1907 at the Rippleside Cemetery Barking.1 2
