Mary  was born on May 1st, 1842 in Dog Row Bethnal Green and her baptism took place on June 30th, 1842 at St Mathews Bethnal Green.1   Mary 's father was John (Cigar Maker) Casey and her mother was Mary Shea.  Her paternal grandparents are Casey and <Unknown>; her maternal grandparents were Morris (a Cooper) Shea and <Unknown>. She had three brothers named William, John and Edward.  She was the oldest of the four children.  She died at the age of 48 on January 22nd, 1891 at 10 St John Retreat North St Barking.  The funeral took place on January 28th, 1891 at the Rippleside Cemetery Barking.  She was buried on January 28th, 1891 at the Rippleside Cemetery Barking.2 3 4

Mary  and Henry were married in a religious ceremony on May 20th, 1861 at St Philips Mile End Old Town witnessed by Susan Hudson - Malby Dored?.5   They had three sons and six daughters, named Henry, George, William, Emily, Sarah, Ann, Susannah, Ellen and Charlotte.
