Marjorie was born in 1574 in Eckington, Derbyshire, England.  Marjorie's father was William STANIFORTH and her mother was Joane MYCOCKE.  Her paternal grandparents were Thomas STANIFORTH and Agnes (UNKNOWN).  She had six brothers and two sisters, named William, Godfrey, Henry, John, Thomas, Robert, Dorothy and Joan.  She was the second oldest of the nine children.
