Joseph was born in 1809 in Armley, Yorkshire, England.  Joseph's father was William REDSHAW and his mother was Sarah DAVISON.  His paternal grandparents were Thomas REDSHAW and Martha BOOTH.  He had seven brothers and three sisters, named Benjamin, Samuel, Samuel, James, William, Thomas, George, Sarah, Sarah and Mary.  He was the eighth oldest of the eleven children.  He died on May 26th, 1809 in Armley, Yorkshire, England.
