George was born in 1817 in Armley, Yorkshire, England.  George's father was William REDSHAW and his mother was Sarah DAVISON.  His paternal grandparents were Thomas REDSHAW and Martha BOOTH.  He had seven brothers and three sisters, named Benjamin, Samuel, Samuel, James, Joseph, William, Thomas, Sarah, Sarah and Mary.  He was the youngest of the eleven children.  He died at the age of 69 in 1886 in Armley, Yorkshire, England.
