Michael Towers

Michael was born on November 24th, 1805 in Paisley and his baptism took place on December 22nd, 1805 at High Church, Paisley.¹

  • Died aged 68, which would place birth around 1810, but is 46 in 1851, which fits with birth around 1805.
    58 in 1861, which would put birth around 1803.

Michael's father was William Tours and his mother was Janet Fulton.  His paternal grandparents were Michaill Towrs and Agnes Stewart; his maternal grandparents were William Fulton and Jean Urie. He had seven brothers and three sisters, named William, William, James, William, George, John, Alexander, Cecilia, Agnes and Margaret.  He was the fifth youngest of the eleven children.  He died due to a respiratory problem and/or pneumonia, chronic bronchitis, and anasarea, duration 5 months, at the age of 73 on October 1st, 1879 in Paisley.²
