John Tours

John was born on August 14th, 1813 in Paisley and his baptism took place on October 3rd, 1813 in Paisley Abbey parish.¹²

John's father was William Tours and his mother was Janet Fulton. His paternal grandparents were Michaill Towrs and Agnes Stewart; his maternal grandparents were William Fulton and Jean Urie. He had seven brothers and three sisters, named William, William, James, Michael, William, George, Alexander, Cecilia, Agnes and Margaret. He was the second youngest of the eleven children. He died due to a medical problem, general paralysis, at the age of 55 on December 10th, 1868 in Springburn.³
