William Emery Lowdnes

William was born in 1853 in Meaford, Stone, Staffordshire.¹ William's father was George Lowndes and his mother was Annie Emery. His paternal grandparents were John Lowndes and Mary Dawson; his maternal grandparents were William Emery and Elizabeth. He had six brothers and two sisters, named George, John, Timothy, David, Henry, Walter, Mary and Sarah. He was the oldest of the nine children.
