George Lowdnes

George was born in 1857 in Burslow, Staffordshire.¹ George's father was George Lowndes and his mother was Annie Emery. His paternal grandparents were John Lowndes and Mary Dawson; his maternal grandparents were William Emery and Elizabeth. He had six brothers and two sisters, named William, John, Timothy, David, Henry, Walter, Mary and Sarah. He was the second oldest of the nine children.
