Joanna's baptism took place on August 13th, 1775 in North Bradley.1  Joanna's father was Joseph Read and her mother was Ann Bennet.  Her maternal grandparents were Joseph Bennett and Grace. She had two brothers and five sisters, named James, Charles, Susanna, Joanna, Susanna, Ann and Joanna.
