Jane's baptism took place on March 29th, 1779 in North Bradley.1  Jane's father was James Read and her mother was Sarah Silverthorne. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Joseph, James, Shem, Ham, Sarah, Jane and Sarah. She had three half-brothers and two half-sisters, named James, John, Nathaniel, Ann and Cathrine.
