Thomas' baptism took place on April 13th, 1746 in North Bradley.1  Thomas' father was Alexander Chivers and his mother was Mary Palmer.  His paternal grandparents were Oliver Chivers and Elizabeth; his maternal grandparents were John Palmer and <Unknown>. He had five brothers and four sisters, named John, Alexander, Richard, William, Richard, Betty, Mary, Ann and Mary.
