John was born on August 19th and his baptism took place on September 13th, 1739 in North Bradley.1  John's father was Alexander Chivers and his mother was Mary Palmer.  His paternal grandparents were Oliver Chivers and Elizabeth; his maternal grandparents were John Palmer and <Unknown>. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Alexander, Richard, William, Thomas, Richard, Betty, Mary, Ann and Mary.  He died in 1767.  He was buried on February 8th, 1767 in North Bradley.2 2
