Alexander's baptism took place on November 30th, 1724 in North Bradley.1  Alexander's father was Alexander Chivers and his mother was Mary Palmer.  His paternal grandparents were Oliver Chivers and Elizabeth; his maternal grandparents were John Palmer and <Unknown>. He had five brothers and four sisters, named John, Richard, William, Thomas, Richard, Betty, Mary, Ann and Mary.
