Mary's baptism took place on July 20th, 1748 in North Bradley.1  Mary's father was Alexander Chivers and her mother was Mary Palmer.  Her paternal grandparents were Oliver Chivers and Elizabeth; her maternal grandparents were John Palmer and <Unknown>. She had six brothers and three sisters, named John, Alexander, Richard, William, Thomas, Richard, Betty, Mary and Ann.
