John's baptism took place on February 13th, 1785 in North Bradley.1  John's father was Jeremiah Butcher and his mother was Betty (Eliz.) Palmer.  His paternal grandparents were Joseph Butcher and Mary Frances. He had three brothers and seven sisters, named Francis, Robert, Joseph, Mary, Betty, Mary, Jane, Ann, Frances and Joanna.  He died in 1793.  He was buried on February 17th, 1793 in North Bradley.2
