Jane's baptism took place on September 27th, 1789 in North Bradley.1  Jane's father was Jeremiah Butcher and her mother was Betty (Eliz.) Palmer.  Her paternal grandparents were Joseph Butcher and Mary Frances. She had four brothers and six sisters, named Francis, Robert, Joseph, John, Mary, Betty, Mary, Ann, Frances and Joanna.
