Robert Lee Mathews 
Robert Lee was born on September 22nd, 1867 in California. Robert Lee's father was Benjamin Franklin Mathews and his mother was Mahala "Mahalie" Ann Whiteman. His maternal grandparents were David Waldo Whiteman and Martha Jane Bryant. He had three brothers and a sister, named John David, Reuben Alexander, William Jesse and Anna. He was the oldest of the five children. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named George Headly and Martha Ellen.General Notes
