Mary Etta Dewhitt

Mary Etta was born on November 13th, 1878 in Elk Falls, Elk Co, KS.¹ Mary Etta's father was William Ashbury Dewhitt and her mother was Lydia Anna Wall. Her maternal grandparents were Joseph Henry Wall and Eliza Reed Grant. She had five brothers and five sisters, named Samuel G., Joseph Henry, Alan Wakefield, William Willard, Clyde, Florence Estelle, Eliza Elizabeth, Anna Evaline, Leuna Iona and Nancy Ellen. She was the fifth oldest of the eleven children. She died at the age of 83 on April 5th, 1962 in Oakland, Alameda Co, CA.¹
