Alan Wakefield Dewhitt

Alan Wakefield was born on February 3rd, 1883 in Howard, Elk Co, KS.¹ Alan Wakefield's father was William Ashbury Dewhitt and his mother was Lydia Anna Wall. His maternal grandparents were Joseph Henry Wall and Eliza Reed Grant. He had four brothers and six sisters, named Samuel G., Joseph Henry, William Willard, Clyde, Florence Estelle, Eliza Elizabeth, Mary Etta, Anna Evaline, Leuna Iona and Nancy Ellen. He was the fifth youngest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 1 on August 23rd, 1884 in Elk Falls, Elk Co, KS.¹
