Thomas Adolphus Pitts 
Thomas Adolphus was born on February 1st, 1855 in Benton County, Iowa.1 Thomas Adolphus' father was Cadwallader Jones Pitts and his mother was Susan Jane Bryson. His paternal grandparents were Cadwallader Pitts and Elizabeth Stanley; his maternal grandparents were John Fielding Bryson and Ellizabeth Sparger. He had five brothers and six sisters, named John Francis, Emery Franklin, Oliver Cromwell, Wilbern (William) Perry, C. Benjamin, Mary Eliza, Elizabeth Jane, Sarah Melissa, Nora Isabelle, Josephine May and Corena Nevada. He was the fifth oldest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 78 on February 25th, 1933.1 -
