Elizabeth Jane Pitts 
Elizabeth Jane was born on September 12th, 1850 in Benton County, Iowa.1 Elizabeth Jane's father was Cadwallader Jones Pitts and her mother was Susan Jane Bryson. Her paternal grandparents were Cadwallader Pitts and Elizabeth Stanley; her maternal grandparents were John Fielding Bryson and Ellizabeth Sparger. She had six brothers and five sisters, named John Francis, Emery Franklin, Thomas Adolphus, Oliver Cromwell, Wilbern (William) Perry, C. Benjamin, Mary Eliza, Sarah Melissa, Nora Isabelle, Josephine May and Corena Nevada. She was the third oldest of the twelve children. She died at the age of 57 on September 22nd, 1907.1 -
