Jane Thirkeld

Jane was born in 1475 in Wighill, York, England.¹ Jane's father was Lancelot Threlkeld and her mother was Margaret Bromflete. Her paternal grandparents were Henry De Threlkeld and Margaret Thornburgh; her maternal grandparents were Henry Bromflete and Eleanor Fitzhugh. She had four brothers and five sisters, named Lancelot, Christopher, Lancelot, Christopher, Ann, Margaret, Margaret, Jane and Elizabeth. She was the youngest of the ten children. She had six half-brothers and a half-sister, named John, Henry, Henrico Clifford, Richard, Robert, Thomas and Elizabeth. She died at the age of 67 in 1542 in Wighill, Yorkshire, England.¹
