Eleanor De was born about 1340 in Of, Raby With Keverstone, Durham, England.  Eleanor De's father was Ralph Neville Baron de Neville and her mother was Alice de Audley Baroness Neville.  Her paternal grandparents were Randolf De Neville Baron Neville and Anastasia Fitzroger "Euphemia De Clavering; her maternal grandparents were Hugh de Audley Baron Audley, heir of all his brothers and Isolde (or Iseude) de Mortimer 2 wife. She had six brothers and four sisters, named John, Ralph De, Thomas De, Robert De, William De, Alexander De, Catherine de, Eupheme de, Margaret and Isabel De. She had three half-brothers named John, Ralph FitzRalph and William Fitzralph De.
