Hugh de was born in 1267 in Of, Stratton Audley, Oxfordshire, England.  Hugh de's father was James de Audley Justice of Chester and his mother was Ela LONGeSPEE only wife.  His paternal grandparents were Henry De Audley Sheriff of Shropshire and Bertred Mainwaring; his maternal grandparents were William Longspee Earl of Salisbury and Idoine de Camville Countess of Salisbury. He had four brothers and a sister, named James Of, William Of, Nicholas De, Henry Of and Joan Of. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Hugh I and Maud.  He died after November 1325.
