Maud was born in 1226 in Bramber Castle, Breconshire, Wales.1   Maud's father was William Baron De Braiose and her mother was Eve, Lady [Sister of Surety] Marshall.  Her paternal grandparents were Reginald de Braose , Lord of Abergaveny and Grace De Briwere; her maternal grandparents were William Marshal , Sir, Earl of Pembroke 4th and Isabel FitzGilbert de Clare , Countess Strigoil. She had four sisters named Isabella De, Eva, Bertha de and Eleanor.  She was the third oldest of the five children.1 


Maud's first family with William De Beauchamp

‌Maud and William De were married in a religious ceremony in 1151 in Of, Gower, Glamorganshire, Wales.  They had a son named William De.


Maud's second family with Roger de Mortimer , Lord of Wigmore

‌Maud and Roger were married in a religious ceremony about 1247.1   They had five sons and four daughters, named Ralph de, Edmund De, Geoffrey De, Roger De, William De, Alicia, Isabella, Isolde (or Iseude) de and Margaret.


Maud's third family with Brian de Brampton

‌Maud and Brian de were married in a religious ceremony about 1256 in <, , Brecknockshire, Wales>.1   They had a son named Brian de.


Maud's fourth family with Rhys Mechyll ap Rhys , Lord of Cantref Mawr

They had a son and a daughter, named Rhys Fychan ap and Gwinthlian verch.
